The most common reason for student accounts being inactive (grayed out) is when there are more students in your account than your license permits. In this case you can purchase more seats for your students by emailing Alternatively, you can delete some of the active students, which will then automatically set the equivalent number of inactive students to active, once the page is refreshed.
